I am open to accepting new graduate students interested in judgment & decision making.
While my research interests are unusually expansive, and I’m open to exploring many topics, I am most interested in working with students on:
Making sense of an uncertain world: A constellation of questions related to risk, uncertainty, perceptions of probability, belief updating, forecasting, and the like.
Making the world a better place: With a worldview largely informed by Effective Altruism, any research that can plausibly have an important impact on the world (including: making the transition to AGI go well for humanity, reducing the suffering of non-human animals, increasing the effectiveness of charitable giving and improving societal values, improving the long-term future, improving group decision-making processes, and so on).
Please feel free to reach out if interested.
